Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that uses the natural growth factors of your body to heal tissue and joints.  Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood, which is composed of water and proteins, which help to promote the body’s natural healing process. During this form of treatment, we extract blood from an IV placed in your arm. This is then placed in a device called a centrifuge.
