Dr. Richard Field’s vision was to provide advanced, evidence based, multidisciplinary and cost effective pain management in an effort to reduce patient suffering while improving their function and quality of life.
Dr. Richard Field was double board certified in interventional pain management and anesthesiology. He was fellowship trained in pain management at the Massachusetts General Hospital and has served as an instructor in pain management and anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Field also served as an attending pain physician and Director of anesthesia for plastic surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. He was instrumental in starting the interventional pain program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and was a member of the International Spine Interventional Society, American Society for Interventional Spine Physicians and the American Society for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management.
Dr.Richard Field was the guiding vision and co-founder of North Shore Pain Management in 2010. Prior to his time at NSPM, he was an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at Beverly Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Field was noted for his tireless devotion to his patients, staff, and colleagues.
He was a valued member of the medical community and a tremendous advocate for his patients. He can never be replaced and will never be forgotten.
