Jamie Powers is a ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After practicing in pain management in Stoneham, MA for 1 year, she joined North Shore Pain Management in September 2020. She is excited to expand her knowledge and to have the opportunity to work with such a supportive and driven team.

Jamie graduated from Simmons University after earning her Master’s degree in Nursing with a certification in Family Practice in May 2019. While attending Simmons, Jamie participated in a research study at Dana Farber Cancer Institute work focused on how well patients understood their diagnosis. In addition, she evaluated whether or not they chose to share this diagnosis with friends/family and why.

Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor’s degree from Salem State University in Biomedical Science. While in her Master’s program, Jamie worked as a Registered Nurse at a rehabilitation facility, caring for both, acute patients after surgery and those in need of long-term care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nursing Association. Jamie’s goal is to help improve each patient’s quality of life by helping to minimize pain while treating them with compassion and respect.

In her leisure time, Jamie enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their Italian water dog, Gio.
