Karissa Murray is a Physician Assistant who joined North Shore Pain Management in January 2024.  She is very excited to be a part of the NSPM team and make a difference in patients’ lives. 

Karissa earned her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Albany Medical College. She was enrolled in a joint degree program which allowed her to go straight into PA school after getting her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Technology at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. During PA school, Karissa chose to do a clinical rotation in pain management. She was very interested in the pathophysiology behind pain and the different treatment modalities available for the management of pain. Karissa loves working closely with patients to have a collaborative effort in their care.

Outside of work, Karissa enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her significant other as well as listening to music and binging Netflix.
